Founder | Chairman of the Board
Dwayne founded Midwestern Mechanical from his home office in Larchwood, IA and brings over 35 years of experience in the mechanical construction industry. He has served in roles from Superintendent to CEO, leading major hospital and school projects. Outside of work, Dwayne enjoys fishing and diving around the world.
President
Ken joined Midwestern Mechanical in 2009 after owning a construction company. He became Vice President in 2013 and President/CEO in 2019, leading the 2024 transition to a 100% employee-owned ESOP. Outside of work, Ken enjoys camping, motorcycling, time with his grandkids, and cheering on the Chiefs.

Vice President
Since joining Midwestern Mechanical in 2007, Brigham has held roles in estimating, project management, and leadership, becoming Corporate Vice President in 2020. He values teamwork, training, and tech-driven improvement. Outside of work, he enjoys youth hockey, Vikings football, and golfing.
CFO
David joined Midwestern Mechanical in 2017 and leads the finance and accounting team as CFO. He specializes in finance, construction accounting, and mergers and acquisitions. Outside of work, David enjoys farming with his brothers, golfing, and cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers!
Director of Safety
Jeremy joined Midwestern Mechanical in February 2023 as Director of Safety. He holds a B.S. in Safety and is an OSHA-authorized trainer for both construction and general industry. Previously, he served as lead safety trainer at the South Dakota Safety Council. Jeremy is dedicated to fostering a safe and proactive workplace culture.
Education and Development Manager
Cody joined Midwestern Mechanical in 2005 as a Plumbing Apprentice and now oversees training for 100+ apprentices each year. He’s passionate about growing the next generation of trades professionals. In his free time, Cody enjoys family, sports, hunting, and the outdoors.
Marketing Coordinator
Brooke brings 20+ years of marketing and sales experience to Midwestern Mechanical. She manages branding and communication across all four locations, adding creativity and energy to every project. Known for her love of movie quotes, song titles, and fun facts, Brooke keeps things both polished and fun.
Director of Mechanical Construction (Sioux Falls, SD)
Jared joined Midwestern Mechanical in 2015 and leads our commercial plumbing team in Sioux Falls. With 15+ years in the industry, he’s known for solving tough challenges and keeping projects on track. Outside of work, he enjoys time with family, fishing, hunting, and camping.
Director of Fire Protection (Sioux Falls, SD)
Rob brings over 30 years of combined construction and fire protection experience. He has held roles from carpenter to project manager, and now leads as Division Director. Rob has managed a wide range of projects, from schools to hospitals, and is passionate about customer service as the key to strong partnerships.
VDC Director (Sioux Falls, SD)
Josh joined Midwestern Mechanical in 2010 and now leads the design-to-fabrication process as VDC Director. With deep trade experience and a drive for innovation, he ensures projects are delivered on time and within budget. Outside of work, Josh enjoys mentoring, motorcycling, hunting, and fishing.
Plumbing Service Manager (Sioux Falls, SD)
Nathan joined Midwestern Mechanical in 2014 as an apprentice plumber and later moved into service. He’s been Service Manager in Sioux Falls since 2022 and leads the Sioux City team starting in 2025. Outside work, Nathan enjoys music, motorcycling, fishing, camping, and time with loved ones.
Branch Vice President (Rapid City, SD)
Brett has been with Midwestern Mechanical since 2003 and is VP of our Rapid City location. He keeps operations on track, supports team balance, and drives growth. He’s active with PHCC and tech education, and outside of work, enjoys camping, outdoor projects, and hunting for sasquatch.
HVAC Division Manager (Rapid City, SD)
Since 1992, Bryan has held roles in the HVAC industry from Field Service Technician to business owner. He has extensive experience in residential and commercial systems, specializing in design-build and negotiated projects. His focus is on building strong customer relationships and delivering complete satisfaction on every job.
Plumbing Service Manager (Rapid City, SD)
Dustin joined Midwestern Mechanical in 2010 and is the Manager of the Plumbing Service Department. He is focused on meeting with customers, quoting service jobs and managing small commercial projects. Outside work, Dustin enjoys camping, BBQing for large groups of people and spending time with family.
HVAC Service Manager (Rapid City, SD)
Daniel joined Midwestern Mechanical in January 2024 as a service technician and quickly advanced to HVAC Service Manager. He leads with a focus on “Performance with Pride,” ensuring quality service and team excellence.
Branch Vice President (Spencer, IA)
Donavon joined Midwestern Mechanical in 2013 and leads operations at the Spencer office. With experience in business management since 2010 and military service since 2005, he brings strong leadership and a passion for teamwork and customer service.
Plumbing Director (Spencer, IA)
Brian started with Midwestern Mechanical in 2006 as a plumbing apprentice and now leads as Plumbing Director. He specializes in design-build plumbing solutions and enjoys competitive darts and golf in his free time.
HVAC Director (Spencer, IA)
Since starting as a commercial plumber in 2003, Lance has progressed from service tech to Project Manager. He has experience with HVAC and hydronic systems of all sizes and is committed to continuing education. Lance now helps teach Midwestern’s HVAC apprenticeship program.
Service Manager (Spencer, IA)
Paul started in refrigeration at 16 in 1999 and quickly moved up through the ranks to become service manager. Paul takes pride in Midwestern Mechanical’s service team and consistently prioritizes the customer experience.
Branch Manager (Sioux City, IA)
Brandon joined Midwestern Mechanical in 2013 and leads operations at the Sioux City branch. He focuses on delivering high-impact projects on time and within budget. Outside work, Brandon volunteers with the American Legion and enjoys hunting and fishing.
